Adult Rower
Associate - Associate Membership is designed for rowers who wish to remain active in the Club socially but may not be able to row for the majority of the season due to moving away from the Club or illness. Dues for Associate Members cover their USRowing membership and some other administrative fees. Associate Members are permitted to be called upon last minute to fill an empty spot in an emergency, but may not attend more than a practice or two prior to the race in order to practice the lineup.
Intermediate - The Intermediate Sweep Program will be focused on a combination of a higher development of rowing technique and aerobic exercise. Although racing is not the primary goal of the Intermediate Team, it does allow for some racing opportunities throughout the summer and fall rowing seasons.
Novice - The goal of the Novice Program is to introduce new members to the sport of rowing. By reinforcing the fundamentals of technique, fitness, and sportsmanship, rowers will progress from learning how to handle an oar to competing in races if desired. This program is for sweep rowing only.
Racing Men - The Men's Racing Program provides a competitive environment that encourages personal growth, commitment, and teamwork in both rowing technique mastery and general physical fitness. Members build and improve upon the successes of the previous year and aim to compete at the highest level at home and away regattas for both summer sprint and fall head race seasons. Individuals may compete in multiple races in the same regatta and opportunities for racing in Mixed lineups are available.
Racing Women - The Women's Racing Program provides a competitive environment that encourages personal growth, commitment, and teamwork in both rowing technique mastery and general physical fitness. Members build and improve upon the successes of the previous year and aim to compete at the highest level at home and away regattas for both summer sprint and fall head race seasons. Individuals may compete in multiple races in the same regatta and opportunities for racing in Mixed lineups are available.
Sculling - The Sculling Program is for individuals with sculling experience who want to improve their rowing skills and fitness, while working towards the goal of racing in the fall. Novice scullers should sign up for one of the Sculling Camps, not the season membership.
USNA Rowing Tank - One session at the US Naval Academy's indoor rowing tank for technique coaching. Rowers will also be able to use their ergs. Optional dinner at Cantler's (paid separately) afterwards.
