Adult Rower
Guest Rower (1 Session) - Guest Rowers are rowers who are not members of the Club and who wish to use Club facilities for a limited period. Guest rowers must row at scheduled practice times and be overseen by a coach unless given prior permission by a coach to row at other times.

Master Competitive 2026 - The Masters Competitive program is designed for experienced adult rowers, ages 21-80+, who want to train seriously with other like-minded athletes and receive expert coaching. You will practice up to six mornings per week in preparation for summer sprint racing, fall head races, and winter indoor ergometer competitions, pushing yourself to achieve your personal performance goals.
Masters Recreational 2026 - The Masters Recreational program is for adults interested in building fitness and improving rowing skills while having fun with fellow rowers, ages 19-80+. You’ll have the option to row in crews and be guided by a coach, or row independently, exploring Lake Ontario’s Outer Harbour to your heart’s content. Once you’ve returned to shore, you can attend free barbecues and other social events with your crew mates.
Youth Rower
Junior Competitive (Summer) 2026 (no space available) - If you currently row for a team in high school and want to continue your training over the summer, you can join Hanlan’s junior competitive program for a pro-rated fee from mid-June to late August. You’ll improve your technique in both sweep rowing and sculling while competing in races across southeastern Ontario, including the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. Nothing is better than summer rowing!
Junior Competitive 2026 - The Junior Competitive program is for athletes, ages 12-18, who have completed a minimum of two months of the Hanlan Junior Development Program and have passed a skills assessment, or are currently part of a high school rowing team. The focus of the program is to develop sculling and sweep rowing skills, physical fitness and racing experience. Full season runs April-October.
Junior Developmental 2026 - The Junior Development program is for rowers ages 11-18. Rowers in the Junior Development program will meet three afternoons each week to improve rowing skills, increase fitness and develop on-the-water confidence. Rowers who have mastered all of the skills in the Hanlan Junior Development skills checklist and have coach approval are eligible to join the Junior Competitive program.

Learn to Row 301 Program 2026 (201 Graduates) - Attention, Learn-to-Row 201 graduates: Take the next step in your rowing journey with Hanlan’s Learn-to-Row 301 program, a twice weekly program running between May and August. Coaches will help you to refine your rowing technique, as well as master specific boating skills, such as docking, bowing, and turning. Rowers who complete the program will have the confidence to scull and sweep in boats of any size at the Club, as well as to row independently on Lake Ontario for the rest of the season as a member of the Club. Get ready to explore the sport in more depth than ever before!
Learn to Row 301 Program 2026 (Direct) - Take the next step in your rowing journey with Hanlan’s Learn-to-Row 301 program, a twice weekly program running between May and August. Coaches will help you to refine your rowing technique, as well as master specific boating skills, such as docking, bowing, and turning. Rowers who complete the program will have the confidence to scull and sweep in boats of any size at the Club, as well as to row independently on Lake Ontario for the rest of the season as a member of the Club.
